Nepal’s first national park, the Chitwan National Park support a species diversity much higher than any other on the Indian subcontinent. Rare species include Bengal tiger, gharial and the world’s second largest population of Asian Rhinoceros, but also leopards, Mugger crocodile, Indian rock python and several species of deer. But also elephants reside here like they are in their home country. Chitwan is the unexpected jungle within Nepal that offers spectacular wildlife that can be witnessed from central positioned beautiful resorts and lodges.
We departure from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Chitwan where you will check into lodge/resort/camp. The rooms have attached bath running hot and cold water 24 hours a day and seven days in a week. The splendid garden with full of colorful flowers is just beside your bedroom. There restaurant is open all the time and served are delicious Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes. The bar supply splendid local and international drinks while we brief you about the programs. After lunch, you will visit Tharu village and National Park’s visitors’ center. Sun set view from the riverbank. Dinner with Tharu dancing program and a slide-show on the wildlife program the next day. Overnight in bungalow/lodge.
After breakfast a special dugout canoe trip followed by a Nature Walk program or visit to the Elephant Breeding Farm and elephant bathing program. Take an ox-cart ride or jeep drive back to Resort. Also there is an elephant safari ride and during dinner the Tharu dancing program. Overnight in bungalow/lodge.
After a cup of tea or coffee, you will go for bird watching tour. After a delicious breakfast before transfer (back) to Kathmandu or follow up program in another city.
